Swell specialises in commercial photography for products, interiors, accommodation, brands and the people behind them.
Depending on the project, Emily also offers styling, creative direction and videography, with additional support available for prop sourcing, location scouting, talent coordination, set styling and content planning where required.
Every project is different, so services are tailored to suit the brief rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.
-
Absolutely.
Many clients come to Swell with a loose idea rather than a detailed brief, and that's completely normal.
Whether it's launching a new product, refreshing a website or photographing a completed interior, Emily can help shape the creative direction, recommend the right approach and determine what imagery will be most valuable for the business.
-
Every project is a little different, but it generally looks something like this:
• Initial conversation about the business, goals and project.
• A tailored quote with recommendations for the best approach.
• Planning the shoot, whether that's developing a shot list or organising styling, locations or talent.
• Shoot day.
• Professional editing and delivery via an online gallery, ready to download and use. -
Before becoming a full-time photographer, Emily spent almost a decade working as a photographic stylist.
That experience influences every shoot, whether styling is part of the brief or not. Years of building sets, sourcing props and creating imagery from the ground up developed an instinct for composition, colour, texture, balance and light that continues behind the camera today.
It doesn't necessarily mean every project requires styling as a separate service. Sometimes clients already have everything beautifully prepared. Other times they need support sourcing props, refining compositions or planning the creative direction.
Either way, Emily approaches every shoot with both a photographer's eye and a stylist's mindset, ensuring the smallest details contribute to stronger, more considered imagery.
-
Every project is quoted individually because every brief is different.
The final investment depends on factors such as the number of images required, shoot duration, locations, styling, creative direction, talent, licensing and whether video is included.
If you have a budget in mind, mention it when enquiring. Em is always happy to recommend an approach that makes the most of it.
-
Yes, where required.
Some clients already have everything organised and simply need photography. Others would like support sourcing props, scouting locations, organising talent or refining the creative direction before the shoot.
These services can be included as required, so clients only pay for the level of support their project needs.
-
Turnaround times vary depending on the size of the project, but most galleries are delivered within one to three weeks.
If there's a launch date or deadline, let Swell know when enquiring and every effort will be made to accommodate it.
